The Director of Corporate Security will report to the Chief Information Security Officer.
This role will have overall responsibility for ensuring the safety and security of all Novitex's personnel and facilities located in the United States.
Key program areas include Executive Travel & Protection, Investigation & Operations, Intelligence & Threat Analysis, Safety, and Physical Security.
This position will work with law enforcement, internal departments and clients to prevent or minimize the company and client various losses.
Lead and manage a team of physical security professionals and provide direct daily supervision, including leadership, training, evaluation, disciplinary action, coaching, and counseling.
This also includes managing the physical security contractor staff and its 24x7 on-site guard protection services.
Research federal, state and local regulations to define existing and upcoming legal obligations and requirements of company programs and policies.
Promptly responds to threats, gathers intelligence, conducts investigations and initiates follow up on events that put the organization at risk.
Follow up with law enforcement and appropriate personnel as needed.
Develop strategies to identify, assess, prevent, protect and mitigate all risks, threats and vulnerabilities to safeguard people, assets, product and property; to maintain continuity of operations and ensure profitability.
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in all areas of physical security.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies across areas of organizational responsibility.
Confronts trespassers or potential threats and takes appropriate action following company policy, procedures and governing laws.
Coordinate all corporate due diligence, preliminary investigations and reputational background investigations as requested.
Communicate with Site Security Facilitators to define standardized processes.
Contribute to efficient operation of all facilities through driving compliance with all physical security and loss prevention policies, reducing risk exposure.
Continually review, analyze and evaluate effectiveness of existing policies.
Review operational processes identifying risk potential and put forth remediation recommendations.
Development/implementation of physical security and loss prevention training and awareness programs.
Participates in professional forums and maintains currency with trends and developments in the Security field.
Develops metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of all security programs and personnel.
Support leadership in the development and maintenance of business continuity and crisis management/incident command programs, including planning and conducting exercises with local first responders.
Proactively establish and maintain relationships with appropriate government and law enforcement agencies.
Serve as lead or technical support for major incident investigations involving security and safety related issues other than EHS and OSHA.
Assist in developing budgets and forecasts to support business needs, goals and objectives.
Monitor and stay current with security-related proven practices and technology Establish ongoing communication with senior leadership on the status of security issues, evolving risks and related recommendations.
Assist in the development, monitoring and achievement of long and short term goals.
Conduct investigations of alleged employee misconduct and crime and follow up if necessary working closely with Human Resources and following agreed upon protocol.
Prepare accurate and thorough reports suitable for presentation to executive management.
Monitor daily activity and incident reports being alert for trends or patterns of illegal or suspect activity.
Initiate investigations into suspicious circumstances upon approval of the Chief Information Security Officer.
Assist the Chief Information Security Officer in the continual evaluation and development of personnel staffing goals.
Monitor the implementation of plans, policies, programs and procedures to ensure consistent performance.
Assist in developing and implementing Business continuity and Crisis Management programs.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
