What are the job responsibilities? This position is for an Information Security Specialist responsible for supporting a number of medium to large size security-related systems. Responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:
o Installation, on-going maintenancesupport, upgrades, testing, documentation and end user support for multiple systems
o Integration of compliance scan systems in support of reporting
o Respond to internal and external compliance audits.
o Work with engineering to assist with recommendations regarding direction of tools and applications.
o Monitor current and proposed laws, regulations, industry standards, and ethical requirements related to information security and privacy
o Execution of compliance scans, communication and issue tracking
o Support engineering in product evaluations, pilots and proof of concept installations
o Respond to firewall change requests
Who is our ideal candidate? Minimum five years of experience in a large production IT environment administering and supporting multiple medium to large size applications.
o Knowledge of IT security around compliance scans, ID access, data protection, and system/application monitoring, system and application access.
o Experience with large application support and change management.
o Working Knowledge of Windows and/or UNIX. Alternatively, strong networking background. Prior experience as system administrator desired.
o Core technology skills: Python, PowerShell, PERL, SQL,
o Experience with RSA DLP, Guardium, HPSA, HPNA, HPOO or Symantec CCS is a plus
o Security CISSP or CISM certification is a plus
o Must be highly skilled and proficient in problem solving, with an aptitude to learn new technologies.
o Excellent verbal & written communication and organizational skills required.
o Ability to regularly exercise independent judgment and discretion.
o Excellent end users support skills
o Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities
o Must be resourceful, creative, innovative, results driven, and adaptable
