Maintenance Engineer needed for an immediate full-time opening with our client in the Hartford CT area. Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience repairing, troubleshooting, building and installing manufacturing equipment and machinery. Some of the equipment may include vacuum chambers, pumps, controls, motors, etc etc. You will also be responsible for managing spare part inventory and working with vendors and contractors. Responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer
Performs electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required. May also perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers.
Utilizes advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair.
Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
4 years experience maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting and installing manufacturing equipment and machinery.
Skilled in Electrical & Mechanical repair
Good problem solving ability
Must be willing to be On-Call
Engineering degree preferred; electronics technology or equivalent training / experience required
Must be willing to work on-call hours.
