Our client is in need of an experienced Assistant Project Engineering Manager at their Windsor, CT location for a long term contract assignment.
Selected candidate will perform a variety of activities associated with one or more projects, and assist Project Engineering Managers in various aspects of their assignments.
Responsibilities:
Support the Project Engineering Manager and engineering project team throughout project execution.
Review customers' specifications and examine new contracts to ensure thorough understanding and adherence to desired contract terms and conditions.
Support the PEM in maintaining a centralized project control process and enforce necessary controls to assure maximum project profitability.
Review and coordinate flow of information among various groups and customers, and implement measures to resolve problems, ensure meeting schedule commitments and achieve customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
5 or more years of experience
Working knowledge of thermodynamics and heat transfer required
Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated competency in identifying, assessing and resolving complex technical matters
Must be able to work independently with minimal direction as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Proficient PC skills including word, excel, database and engineering program applications.
Authorization to work in the US without any further action from client.
Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screen.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
