Provide 24x7 Support and ensure the health and recoverability of Oracle Databases in the Production & non-Production environment. Support Restoration of Service activities of critical issues that occur. Ensure Performance Service Level Agreements are met and that there are effective pro-active monitoring and alerts in the environment to avoid customer impact. Review and implement new patches and features across the platform. Take part in rotational Pager Support duties.
Requires 18 months experience with: supporting multi-terabyte Production and non-Production databases; Database administration in RAC, ASM, AIX and/or Solaris environments; Oracle database/instance tuning; optimizing complex SQL statements; and, creating and maintaining shell scripts to automate database-related tasks. Hiring requirements: drug screen / background check.
Requires Masters degree in Computer Science or related field.
