Project Accountant

SNI's Accounting Now division has partnered with a reputable Construction company near Hartford looking for a Project Accountant to join their growing team! Duties includes the following:
Involvement in all project related accounting from inception through completion of the project.
Maintain project-related records which include contracts, change orders, billing documents and cost reports.
Prepare monthly owner progress billings (AIA) and other forms to ensure the schedule of values and monthly billings are accurate and prepared timely.
Maintaining and reviewing various project billing and cost reports to ensure accuracy and completeness Work with other accounting team members, and project managers, to maintain consistent and accurate project budget variance reports Communicate with various stakeholders in the construction process to ensure timely and accurate reporting Assist with reconciliations and research, as needed Ideal
Qualifications:
Project Accounting:
2 years' experience (Preferred) Strong knowledge of MS Excel a must Knowledge of Sage 300 Construction or similar software a plus Construction accounting experience with AIA owner billings, project cost reporting and construction compliance is preferred Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and have strong attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
Willingly cooperates and works collaboratively toward solutions that generally benefit all involved parties; works cooperatively with others to accomplish company objectives Recommended Skills Attention To Detail Billing Communication Construction Construction Accounting Microsoft Excel Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
